formidable looking pen

Due to its size and somewhat medieval look about it, just removing the cap to use it is an attention getter. Certainly dosen't look benign.

Great item

I bought this item for myself and used it a bit, but one of my friends daughters works late and I gave it to her for protection after I showed her how to use it. I think this is a very good item to have for yourself or a loved one.

It is a decent product. The light comes in handy as a last ditch flashlight when your regular flashlight burns out. The pen writes nicely. What I really didn't care for was that the light is on a snap off pen cap and on the opposite side of the pen is the window punch. So in essence, you get a pen with two pointy ends and a removable light. I guess there really isn't any other way to make this kind of pen though. Worth the $15

excellent pen

light works great, writes great, clip is good, textured grip surface is ok, seems rock solid, that said at $15 its only FAIR value for money, after all it's a $15 ink pen

First of all, I want to make note that this is NOT a turn pen. It is a cap pen. The LED light IS very much useful. It is great to keep around a handy flashlight, weapon, plus a pen when needed. This is a good self defense pen to have but as of discreet concealment... well the big sharp point sticking out at all times is kind of intimidating. Like I said, it is a cap pen so that mean the head can be removed. The LED light is built on the head cap so, don't loose it. The body itself contains the ball point pen on one end and the sharp point on the other.

The picture will prove my explanation. The main picture in the middle is how the pen looks like when the ball pen is closed and capped. The bottom right shows the LED flashlight which is built in the tip of the cap. The top left pic shows the pen in use without the cap. Great news is that the ink can be replaced with almost any regular ink cartridge that is in any other pen. My personal opinion which I will say is the bad news is that without the cap in place while trying to write, you are faced with one end of a pen that is writing and the other, a sharp point facing toward your -my- face. I'm afraid that while I might be writing something, someone could bash my face against it. Talk about not safe...

My only other real concern is that the join that holds the ink cartridge seems to come a bit loose once in a while. Then again that could just be a defect on MY particular pen that I got so, no worries really. Other than that, it's actually a nice pen.

warrior defense pen

Great piece for the money, like everything else BudK has. Mine came with dead battiers. Called BudK to see if they would send me new battiers but they wanted me to send it back at their cost but I just wanted new battiers, so I went out and bought some at almost 10.00 for two. The light works well and if you had to use it for self defense it would definitly work great. I never leave home without it.

Great Self Defense Tool

Great Self Defense Tool. Larger than I thought it would be but I still love it. The window punch end would make a very deadly weapon if needed. The flashlight is surprisingly bright, easily enough to find your keys or to walk by in a pinch. It seems to be very well constructed. On this I plan to add to this is a Space Pen Refill. After that it will be perfect for me.
