This ax is very quick to spin. 3 paces for me. Turn ax over and now 5 paces? Also good tool to have. Chops wood and great for field dressing. Sharp out of the box and sheath is good quality.
They're gorgeous. Their weight, heft and feel are perfect. They fly like arrows and hit like thunderclaps... so what can be wrong? They break... a lot. I lost 3 of 5 weapons to breakage in the first 1000 throws. Sweeping the thin blade to7" on a 14" overall is just too daring for this brittle metal. When compounded by the high cost, this thrower isn't practical for most folks. Still, my $200 investment hasn't been a total loss. I continue to use my intact blades for kata (cause they look so cool) and I ground the broken axes into orcish looking throwers that still satisfy.
Love the axe! Reminds me of an Alaskan Ulu knife. Can be held behind the blade and used like the very handy eskimo ulu knife or grasped at the handle and thrown. Excellent distance. Looks cool too.
My new favorite toy. This is excellently balanced, great quality, easy to stick and a great weight. The metal is sturdy and I love the blade. This is worth every penny. I would recommend this to anybody, a seasoned thrower or beginner alike.
