Great Sword Set For The Price Reviewed by Lyle Yates on Feb 16, 2016   5 out of 5

If you are looking for an affordable set of functional "Samurai" swords to display and/or for light to medium tameshigiri practices, then this is a 4 star set for the minimum cost. All three disassembled in the traditional manner with Mekugi pegs (that I changed out with new one's to properly tighten up the Tsukas). The tangs are full, but only go through the Tsukas 3/4 length. My set came very sharp and disassembled without any hang-ups. It came with a card that indicated they were made by Musashi, however there are no kanji on the tangs to comfirm this. Each sword fits nicely in its saya and I didn't have to do any shimming. The sageo are a bit light weight, but sufficiant. Each piece cuts large pool noodles very well, but I have yet to test on Tatami. My only complaint is that the tangs could have been a bit longer, going the entire length of the Tsukas. The display stand is good and solid and came flat black, which I have since sprayed with a clear enamel for a nice shine.

all 3 of these pieces are good. sharp with a nice hard spine the blades look and feel amazing. 1 warning: the base comes dissembled in the box. all you'll get is 3 wooden pieces. being new to sword collecting, that confused me, but i figured it out. using the picture of the stand from the stands category on the site i was able to figure out how it went takes only a matter of moments so, good, sharp product, i recommend it highly
