Absolutely Stunning and Bad A$$!

"I absolutely love it! The color is beautiful. The weight is nice and it feels sturdy. Everything fits well and tight. Nothing wobbles or wiggles. The color is absolutely stunning, it looks black in low lighting but as soon as you get it under light, it is a stunning deep burgundy color and I absolutely love it. I am so, so, SO happy to have this as my first Katana, and I was a bit shocked that it came with a name given to it. It's name being Ryu. It also came with instructions for sword care and maintenance, so that's helpful if you happen to get the kit. I also got it engraved with the statement "Memento Mori" which means "Remember Death" in Latin, and I am not disappointed with the print. Only problem was that since the blade is coated with oil, wood shavings from the inside the sheath stuck to it. It was easy to just blow off with pressurized air and really was the only problem, besides the guard. The guard is a stunning design of a dragon but it feels a bit weird if you stick close to it while wielding the sword. But other than that, it's an absolutely amazing sword. Definitely will be buying from Musashi again!"

good

"My musashi arrived today and I am a very satisfied owner. I study martial arts but not that much with the Katana. I do not want anything hanging on my wall that is not functional. I got the 1060 carbon blade as this steel is harder than the 1045 but yet very durable. When I first opened the box I thought they sent me the wrong saya as I ordered the burgundy and it looked black. That was until I took it out in the sunlight and the deep rich burgundy color was revealed. Of course getting my first Katana I had to try it out on something. Not wanting to nick or mess up the blade I went to our garden where we just finished picking corn. Wouldn't you know it.Those green corn stalks started attacking me and me and my Katana went through the corn field like a combine. Im very satisfied with the fit and finish and the fast delivery by true swords. I know that this will never be my primary defense weapon or every day carry like my Glock but it is comforting to know it is within reach if I need it. Much thanks to true swords."

The blade and sheath were

"The blade and sheath were both in perfect condition upon arrival. There was not a scratch to be found. My only complaint is that the sword came coated in a thick oil with much dirt and grime. I wiped the blade and clean and oiled it so now it is amazing. Thank you true swords."

It's just what I wanted.

"It's just what I wanted. Excellent look, feel, handling. Looks and feels like it should cost MUCH more. This is the nicest sword I've seen or handled. yes, I'm a newb, but to my beginner's eyes and hands this is an awesome Katana for the price. I have what I now know to be a beater sword I got from a mall for more than twice what this one cost and the blade is no comparison on that one to this one. No joking or understatement this is a sharp sword. Entire length of the blade is sharp enough to slice paper like a razor. The hamon is subtle but clear. The wrap, tsuba, saya fit, and all fittings are just right. I found out about this sword series from the Sword Buyers Guide, as well as that site pointing me to True Swords and I'm glad it did. I'm a fan of True Swords, the Mushashi Products, especially the 1060 line, and expect to enjoy this Katana for many years."
