Big Ass Knife Reviewed by on Nov 03, 2015   4 out of 5

This knife is a steal at the present price, but it does have what I consider to be a few very small flaws that are not hardly worth mentioning. One, the handle tang is slightly proud of the wood grips, at least they are on mine, which is not a huge problem but you can feel it when you hold it. You can also see it if you look at it from the sides. If you want a highly polished blade, this one is not. It looks great, but is about one or two steps out from being a show quality blade as far as the polish goes. I kind of like it, but it's not a mirror finish if that's what you're expecting. There have been a few other reviewers who have mentioned the sheath and I have to agree that it seems a little bit less that what this knife deserves. But, it is still a good sheath that holds the knife securely and tightly. This is very important you want to carry this beast because if you drop it or it comes out of the sheath in mid step it could separate you from your toes or maybe pin your foot to the ground. So don't worry; this sheath will do the job for you with no problems. One improvement would have been a metal grommeted lanyard hole to secure it to your leg. It's overall a good knife at a good, almost cheap, price.

excellent bowie knife Reviewed by Larry J Crawford on Oct 02, 2014   4 out of 5

In spite of the ad, this is a full tang blade and a very heavy piece of metal. A proper bowie with brass guard (not just plated), and an edged upper curved surface. Was not polished, metal showed scuffs from machining. Wooden grips slightly too small as edges of the tang are exposed. For heavy use, handle should probably be wrapped with friction tape for hand protection. As mentioned elsewhere, the sheath is left handed. Lower and upper forward edges sharp out of the box. Not perfect, but very good and well worth the asking price.

Half Tang like Winchester Bowie Reviewed by Rick Hunter on May 12, 2014   2 out of 5

It looks very nice for the price. However, the half tang method it's made with is the same as the Winchester bowie. Look for a youtube vid on the Winchester Bowie and see that the knife will probably not stand much to hard use. The Winchester bowie broken easily after the person tried to chop through wood. A show piece at best.

great bowie knife Reviewed by John on Apr 27, 2014   5 out of 5

Great bowie knife at a great price. Quarter-inch thick full tang SS blade. Took a good sharp edge. For practical purposes this one is just as good as the much more expensive models. Buy it while you can.

Great Bowie! Reviewed by Ysabel Kid on Feb 26, 2014   5 out of 5

I purchased a pair of these bowie knives to give as gifts to two young men in our Boy Scout troop who just earned their "Eagle" rank. I have done this with previous boys who have earned this esteemed rank. I always get them engraved with their names, our troop number, and "Eagle Scout". These make great gifts and the boys love them!

One of my Favorites! Reviewed by Pete on Jan 11, 2014   5 out of 5

Really great, high quality Bowie. A very pleasant surprise for the price. The blade is good and thick. Comes sharp out of the box. It would be great if it came with a leather sheath.

The knife is extremely well made, an authentic old style Bowie to the eye and to the touch. It was well sharpened and sliced clean through paper but I would not say it was "razor" sharp. The nylon sheath is nice but seems to be made "left" handed, I guess for a cross draw. Overall a great knife for the price. Service was quite professional and courteous from Kennesaw.
