The Black Middle Ages Rapier Sword is a distinguished reproduction inspired by the refined weaponry carried by European nobility during the 16th and 17th centuries. Its 36 1/2" stainless steel blade is polished to a reflective finish, capturing the slender silhouette and elegance of historical sidearms. A black twisted steel guard enhances the period styling, while the wire-wrapped handle provides a steady and comfortable grip. Measuring 44" overall, this rapier is well suited for display, costuming, or theatrical performance. It includes a black leather scabbard that protects the blade and completes the presentation. Whether mounted in a collection or worn for historical interpretation, this sword evokes the sophistication of a bygone era.

almost ready to join the 4 musketeers...

"Fabulous, crafty, commanding, what a piece of art or roleplaying centerpiece. Excellent craftsmanship, fit & finish. Quite satisfied with the product. Now if I could only find a hat & boots..."

Worth the price

"I received the Rapier and built a mount, for what I bought it for it is great, I attend the renaissance festival and it was perfect for my costume. I also bought a dagger and that also was perfect for the costume. I really liked them."

okay so I got this

"okay so I got this sword today in the mail and all in all i was not disappointed. The blade itself was a little thinner than I anticipated and the basket hilt was larger in diameter and circumference than I had though. Some minor fixes with the acrylic on the basket hilt but nothing a sharpie or some paint can't fix. The scabbard is somewhat flimsy but will straighten out once you put the sword in it. And the scabbard fits fine in the frog I ordered for it as well. I thought it would slip out but it fits perfectly. I will be ordering more from Trueswords for sure."

This was the first product

"This was the first product I purchased from True swords. This is not a bad sword. It is a very hansom piece. Feels great when you whip it out of the sheath. Makes a good clean swishing sound when swung in the air. However, this is not a slashing sword. It is a fencing style sword, which requires a straight lunging motion. The blade is very wobbly and the hand cage is not very well built. When I stabbed it into the ground, a piece of the metal cage just fell off. BE CAREFUL, THIS IS IS A SPORTY SWORD, NOT A RAMPAGE SWORD!! Another concern is that the black paint on the handle will start to strip due to the oil in your hands, leaving inconvenient silver strands and speckles in the handle. Over all, this is a nice looking, good feeling, SPORTY sword. Handle with care"
