Great Quality

"Owned one for years. Great blade, could split kindling and logs. Good metal, lots of uses."

Matt (5/5)

Utilitarian

"Good heft. Pros would want to sharpen it to a keener edge. Good for small brush and bone/joints if you have that need. This is the workhorse. If you want a display one, go for the Hibben III Machete which is superb."

Darren (4/5)

Mighty Assault

"Wow! What a chunk of steel, I purchased two of these brutes and when the package arrived I couldn't believe the weight of the box!! I am proud of this monster and it took a special place in my collection!!! Thanks Gil, keep up the good work."

Ronnie D. (5/5)

best blade ever

"this thing is killer i love it its thick and haevy perfact for chopping things in two im going to recommend this to all my friends. it has a little trouble going in and out of the sheath but thats a miner problem"

Aaron (5/5)

versatile machete

"I really like this machete for the size and its sheath. I was able to get rid of a knife and hatchet when I hike with this machete.. I did modify it a bit. I made the handle a little narrower and made a micarta handle for it."

James (5/5)

Rambo machete knife

"Great Knife for a great price. I have had mine a long time and it is a beast it is great for a multi-purpose tool. The only thing is the cheap, crappy handle wrap, but I use 550 cord and now that is not a problem. NOT recommended if you have small hands. Be careful while using it because it is sharp and has some weight to it and will easily take a limb off. It is over a 1/4" thick!! BEST leather sheath!"

Dan (4/5)

Weapon of Choice.

"I've owned this Hibben for a year now. I love everything about this machete. I have taken it on two camping trips and a "survival" camping trip. I have put it through its paces and has fared very well. Only modification I made out of the box was replace the handle and leg wrap with 550 paracord. It is even my choice over my bedside .45 when we had , what we thought was, an intruder at our back door. The only thing I would add to the description would be the finish. The picture looks like a matte finish where it is a dark polished finish."

Tm T. (5/5)

Great Knife, Great Price

"Bought this knife for my dad, extremely satisfied. It has a perfect balance of being sharp and being weighted enough to swing it. Not too sharp, doesn't need to be nor do you want it to be. WILL take off a limb."

Max (5/5)

extremely dull

"I recieved this machete today and I was super excited. I pulled it out of the box and I was almost disappointed. The sheath is faux leather and the cord on the handle is not very good, and me having large hands, the handle is uncomfortable but that can very easily be fixed. I went to do my usual paper cut test and couldn't slice anything.the thing was duller than a butter knife! The bevel was ridiculously uneven, so I had to reprofile the blade completely. After I got it all shaped, I had no problem cutting with it. It has a good weight. Now I don't want to discourage others from buying this, because it may just be mine that was not up to standard. For $39 it was a decent buy. I would recommend that there be a hand picked option for this item though."

Matt C. (3/5)

MASSIVE

"i really didnt expect this knife to be so heavy. i love the leather sheath, very sturdy and the hand crafted hammer marks were a fantastic implementation of originality as well as pure authentication. simply an amazing knife."
