I split logs with this thing about 12 times and it is still sharp, kinda wish the sheath was a button not velcro but still an amazing knife.
This knife is so much better than I was expecting, and such a value at the price point. It is much larger than it looks. the heft and the weight of the item is impressive. That blade is razor sharp and the metal is very good.
I am totally impressed !!!
This piece is super strong!
And the price is just a steal!
This blade is very broad and thick. It came shave your arm sharp out of the box and the choice of serrated or straight edge make this beast versatile on the farm or trail. I wear the nylon sheath on my hip all day.
I really like the shape & thickness of this knife , I will say its a bit rough cut but I have spent around 5 hours with a dremil, a hand file and a few of my sharpning stones and made this blade a awesome knife !!!
This is an odd looking knife that I absolutely love!!! This knife is different than your run of the mill knife. It has impressed me with its versatility and the price is really good too. I recommend this knife very highly to everyone.
I bought this knife to keep in my backpack with my other survival gear as a backup. I wanted something I could abuse without ruining one of my more expensive knives. I wasn't disappointed when it arrived. It's a big, beefy blade that could be used for a multitude of tasks due to the multiple cutting edges. This blade is beefy enough to even be used as a moderate pry bar if need be. Or the handle scales can be removed so it could be made into a survival spear. The tip is the epitome of "armor piercing." I have no doubt it would take down a wild boar. It even throws well, and for the price you don't have to feel guilty about beating it up a bit. Yes, it needs sharpening and the sheath is super basic but for my intended use for it, this knife is perfect for me. It'll be in my backpack until I need it.
I honestly don't know why this thing is only $12.99. It's a monster. Very strong stonewashed steel. It's probably not the most practical design ever but it feels like it could stand up to pretty much any job you throw at it (other than more intricate tasks...I wouldn't want to fillet a fish with it). But it does feel like I could hammer it into a tree trunk without damaging any part of it. I agree that the false blade above the saw edge and the velcro sheath are slightly disapointing, But again, it only costs 13 bucks. It needs to be sharpened out of the box, but for me thats the adult version of "playing with a new toy" so i dont mind (150% not a toy haha). Also it looks like something a that would be a super villains' weapon of choice...which is kinda neat.
I've had this blade for a little over a week and so far I'm pretty impressed with it. It's nice and hefty and doesn't feel like it would snap easily the edges are decently sharp but if you want razor sharp you'll have to do it yourself. I'd like to point out that this comes with a beautiful lanyard that the pictures do not show. I have only two complaints about this blade. The first is that the edge above the non-serrated blade is a false edge I would have preferred that to be a true edge and that the sheath uses Velcro instead of a more secure snap tyle to secure the blade.
Very heavy. It definitely needs sharpened out of the box. It has a great piercing point on it. Sheath is well made. I love it. It's not perfect but definitely gets the job done. DJW
