"I looked a many sword canes. I wanted one with a blade. But after looking at all the variables and construction, I chose the Honshu. It is heavy, sure. But it feels solid to walk with. Gives a good foundation. No blade, but the spike is very formidable. Easier to jab than to slash anyway. The entire unit seem indestructible in a defence situation. I did cut a bit off for cane to fit me. And yes...lose THAT crap plastic tip and replace it with a rubber tip. 1 inch inside diameter."

"Have had to use this a couple of times to defend ourselves against dogs. Both times it took the fight right out of the animal and the owner of the unleashed dogs owners did not want to engage us either, worked well highly recommend."

"after buying found out that i could not cut down to fit returned it. they would not pay me for shipping fee of 29 dollars too heavy blade come out of sheath too easy rubber o rings making fit are sloppy. talked to customer service so many words too bad so my loss. of my money be careful of what you buy bad service"

Great cane sword

"This cane sword is very well made. The only thing I wanted to do (didn't really have to) was to change the o-rings on the upper shaft so the handle would fit a little more snug. Everyone I showed it to said it was very well made also. And we all like the fact that it is more like a dagger, than a long sword. It has a little rattle as you use it as a cane, but a small o-ring slipped onto the dagger takes care of that. Buy one, you'll love it."

Nice but Noisy !!

"Great cane but quite noisy and a little to tall for the average person. I filled mine with liquid rubber to stop the blade/spike from hitting the sides when walking. Sad that It needs to be modified before use, especially for as much as I paid for it !!! Doubt I'd ever buy another or even suggest it to a friend. Quality does NOT match the price !"
