Excellent all purpose tool that'll last a lifetime Reviewed by on Mar 04, 2019   5 out of 5

Lethal against any obstacles in the bush. This thing is a Machete on steroids. I have a affinity to machetes among other knives, swords etc.... and I am a big fan of British cold rolled steel but when I grab this sword, it becomes the jack of all blades and can pull duty in a variety of roles. a light oiling and she's ready for next time. I actually like the sheath and it wears well on the hip in the field. with regular care and maintenance, United Cutlery's rendition of the Chinese War sword is a Excellent all purpose tool that'll last a lifetime! Cuts through water filled gallon jugs with just one swipe, solid, sharp, an excellent performer

WoW! Reviewed by Gary Wolff on Jun 11, 2018   5 out of 5

Solid, great balance, unusually sharp out of the box. This is one bad boy. A must have for any serious sword work. Not only an efficient sword to wield, also has great eye appeal and the scabbard is decent.

Fantastic Dadao War Sword Reviewed by Al the Dadao Ren on Mar 21, 2018   5 out of 5

This Honshu War Sword is actually a smaller copy (Wakizashi sized) of a Chinese Dadao War Sword. I received it and Wow! It was very well balanced and had a good weight for a real battle weapon. The fit and finish were excellent. The blade came as a Manganese Steel Blade and it was sharp and solid. The shape of the handle was very ergonomic and comfortable affording one or two hand hold. I have the Cold Steel Dadao. Condor Dadao, CAS Hanwei Dadao as well as several other Dadao blades, and I would put this Honshu War Sword Dadao as one of my favorite. It is shorter and lighter than your standard Dadao making this very handy to carry around as well as storage in the car. The only complaint I have is the design of the sheath left something to be desired. I would have preferred a sheath more similar to the Cold Steel Dadao sheath. With a better designed sheath, I would rate this sword a total 11 out of 10. Oh, I bought another one, but now it comes in 1065 steel instead of the original manganese steel. I wonder why the change in steel?

Issues with war sword Reviewed by on Feb 05, 2017   2 out of 5

My brother got one of these and recommended that I get one as well. I bought one and was happy with it for a while. My brother then told me the guard on his war sword had come loose. Soon after mine developed the same problem. Neither of us have put the swords to any work, and so the guards came undone without any force required. Rather unsatisfied with what has happened because ultimately it's not a bad sword, but it seems like the craftsmanship is a little bit lacking.

Excellent Sword Reviewed by on Nov 22, 2016   5 out of 5

Excellent, well made sword. No problems with mine, blade is really sharp. Blade is also thick and heavy. Agree with one of the previous reviewers that is a bit harder to re-sheath the sword than it is to take it out. One set of the oriental characters on the box means Okinawa, but could not find any reference to such a sword when I googled Okinawan war sword. Well worth the cost. Tom from Hawaii.

Awesome Sword Reviewed by on Oct 21, 2016   3 out of 5

The Blade Shape And Feel Are Awesome, Love the Handle, Hate the sheath Though, Almost Impossible To Resheath It One Handed, I May Be making Another Sheath For It Somehow. The Edge Came Rather Dull But Itll Do, Other Than That Great Blade, Nice Balance, Comfortable Feel, Nice Rubber Handle, Overall Not Bad.
