I really appreciated the fit and finish in these blades. They are beautiful and are a great addition to anyone's collection. The prices are good and the only complaint is how they fit together as a single weapon, kinda awkward.

Received these this week and am quite impressed by them. They're 19 inches long and look awesome! Quite the deal! Love them!
Nov 04, 2017

AMAZING! They are pretty sharp, so okay for cutting and slicing. The look is really otherworldly, and the pictures do it no justice, the wrapping on the hilt is a bit loose, but not really that much (unless you're planning to join an elven army, that is), but I plan to display them, so not a big deal. Overall, buy them NOW, GREAT price for two, pretty sharp 19 inch swords.

Great decoration piece. Fast shipping like always. It is well worth the price. Only bad part is I am having trouble finding a wall plaque to hang them. This should not defer you from buying this.
Feb 23, 2015

Just recieved the swords. Have to say they were more than what I expected. they were very sharp and made beautifully. together or seperate they make a great piece of art on my wall. thanks again!! True Swords for and awesome buy.
Feb 06, 2015

The swords are what was advertised, however there was NO mounting plaque when I received mine, just the nylon sheath. I guess I'll have to make my own.
Jan 09, 2015

The swords are awesome. strange it only came with one sheath, and it didnt come with a wooden wall plaque. Still cool though
Aug 18, 2014

I thought the swords would be bigger but their about twice the size of a big kitchen knife and though thier not really super sharp they do have an edge to them. Their tough as h*** and ive cut things with them, throw them repeatedly and their still good. This was a another good buy and an awsome addition to my collect .

To start i LOVE these swords thay look awesome on my wall...<br /><br />Pros(plack is easy to put to gather. Look awesome. Farley sharp and pointy. And make a nice sound when I slice them into the air)<br /><br /><br />Cons(plack comes whithout instructions. Leather grip is a little lose. Sheth is a bit tight. And the brass above the handles wobbles a little)<br /><br /> End of line

This is REAL STEEL....as well as a real steal. It may be a little on the unusual side design wise (okay a little tacky), but the quality of this stainless steel instrument out weighs everything else. I ordered two sets, one for a buddy and one for myself. Both sets came well sharpened. Hone the edge down even more, and it is a very lethal weapon. If you doubt that, ask the 4 1/2 foot grey rat snake that had taken up residence underneath our spa.

These swords look awesome hanging on my wall. For $25, I am happy with this purchase. The only issue I had was with the plaque. There are no instructions provided and I didn't know you had to assemble it yourself. You are given the plaque, five gold metal pieces with five small screws along with two longer screws. I noticed five holes on the back in the exact locations the metal pieces needed to be on the front side of the plaque. You only need to poke one of the longer screws through each of the five holes in the back and it will easily break through the front side. After that, just put the smaller screws through the back so you can screw the metal pieces onto the screws. Then, you're done! Hope this helps!

OMFG. I opened these up and from the moment i first held i knew these were my new best friend. The quality and feel of the blades in the hand feels so good and right. i couldn't give any less of a damn about the plaque though
Nov 06, 2012

I found out first hand how solid these knives really are. I was swinging them and lunging with them and accidently stabbed a kitchen cabinet. I was glad I was able to fix it before I got my knives taken away!!! lol jk. The knife was still intact without any signs of breaking. My knives came scratched a little, but I will overlook that minor issue. Also as many on this website pointed out, the sheathes don't last long after you put the knives away. Overall five stars!!! Thanks Budk and thanks to my friend who told me about your website!!! :)

This product was AWESOME! I bought this for my sister's birthday, and she was extremely happy with them. They look beautiful sitting on the wall, and can be pretty fearful wielded by tht right person. All in all, a great buy!
Sep 08, 2011

this item was in my first order from true swords. it is a very well made item. it didnt come real sharp, but its more for show. I know some reviews said that their handle wrap was coming undone, but mine is nice and tight no problems. I highly recommend this item.
Jun 29, 2011

Great swords. They are very sharp and a very very great deal! The wall mount came unassembled without instructions but it was easy to figure out. Really no complaints. Will be returning again soon.
Jun 27, 2011

The blades are very nice and pretty. The way the blades are held together forms one sword, both blades in the same direction. By the photo, it seems as if they would be held as to have a blade on either end but this is not so. <br />The blades themselves and very nice quality and I certainly am pleased by my purchase. They are a tad skinny, but then again, they are for show.
Nov 17, 2010

GREat Great buy for $ 25 you get both scimitars(and there smaller than they appear), the wall plaque, and the sheath which you can actually fit both scimitars in! Over all a great buy!
Sep 09, 2010

Great Price ontime delivery.. smaller then i thought but well worth the money looks awesome on my wall ... and sheath is high quility.. yes only one sheath for 2 swords but will fit both nicely !!! overall good buy !!!
Aug 24, 2010

These swords were delivered in three days and they are just great, they are very stylish and deadly, they came pretty sharp and the size of the blades are good too, i would recommend these to anyone and they make a great gift aswell !!
Aug 19, 2010

These swords are awsome but i thought they would be bigger.Thats the only thing im recomending true swords to every one i know, and ill keep buying from true swords.com

Ok, generally I am not one to buy anything this ornate, I have basic standards for all of my weapons, key one being full tang. When I saw these I was immediately interested, they offered so many unique styles blended into one (technically two) blade. First off being a short scimitar, which are generally a good 4 ft long, secondly is the fact they can be sheathed and drawn as one sword, only to reveal a twin. Thirdly was the full tang construction and the price.<br /><br />As to the actual construction, good quality blades, acid etching gives a very distinct look and feel, the gold "things" close to the handle rattle when the blade strikes something, but they do not interfere with anything. The handles feature a no-slip leather, wrapped similarly to a traditional katana which wraps around a black piece of plastic that gives it a hump on one side and keeps it flat on the other. The sheath is of great quality, heavy duty construction, and is actually different to the one of the picture, it is not a square bottom, but actually shapes to the blades' contour edges.<br /><br />A good buy overall, great show piece, but the fact that you can actually use them gives it that much more need to have them out and ready.
Jun 20, 2020

Good blades. They look really nice and add a nice addition to any collection. Only downside is not used for chopping, as you probably imagined. I would say get them for the price so long as you don’t intend to use them in the jungle :)

Mar 18, 2016

The swords themselves look amazing! However the wrapping they used is rather flimsy and feels like it will fall off at any second. I would suggest wrapping it yourself if you have the skill and time to do so. Still though, nice looking piece!
Oct 22, 2015

Well you get what you paid for mostly. The swords themselves are nice and look really cool, might need a bit of sanding with some fine sandpaper but that's a plus for me, gives me time to get attached to them in a sense. Only Problem i have is that i paid for the customer engraving and apparently they can only engrave ONE of the swords for $5 but not both of them. Other than that a great buy
Response: We apologize for that, the item should not have been listed as being engraveable since there are two blades, that has now been updated.
Feb 18, 2014

Cool looking knives for under twenty bucks... They're a nice addition to any collection. More of a display set than a practical weapon as the handles are quite thin, but overall, I am pleased.
Nov 19, 2013

It is not usable as a weapon really. the handles are much too thin to get a decent grip on the handle. not bad to look at and it does have a cool looking blade but the handles could have been done better.
Oct 27, 2013

This is one nice sword I thought it had a great design and it's one solid piece of steel. The only bad thing I have to say is the handle's are flat on one side still very happy keep up the good work
Sep 15, 2013

Not very sharp out of the box, but very flashy! I love the design and they make an excellent blade display. The hilt is a bit awkward for grasping since one side is rounded and the other flat (to fit the sheath) but they're still a great deal.
Jul 11, 2013

love the knives well balanced and good length and design but the single sheath leaves alot to be desired it is hard to get the knives to cross and fit just right without one of them poking thru the edge or bottom of the sheath need to offer a second sheath I would be willing to pay a few dollars more to have a sheath for each knife
Jun 14, 2013

Well what can i say i bought this for the looks, price and overall awesomeness, i read other reviews before purchasing these swords and saw mostly good reviews... my only issue with these was one of the gold pieces on one of the swords was loose, now i could have returned it but its mostly for decoration for me with wall mount so that isnt a big deal. one last thing was the lack of directions on how to put the wall mount together...but anyone with the knowledge of how things work can figure it out.
May 15, 2013

Nice design, came sharp, and feel good in my hands. There are two as it says in the description and as others have stated. They fit well together in the sheath, though I would prefer they have separate slots instead of fitting together into one. Good blades. Definitely recommend for any collection large or small.
Feb 13, 2013

I liked the look so much I bought 2 sets! It wasn't clear enough that there are 2 in each set, so I bought a second to practice 2 handed fighting. They have no pommel so I don't recommend them for use against any friends with other sharp instruments. Unless you are wearing gauntlets, you could lose some skin. Beautiful in design and they fit in the hand very nicely. 2 blades to a sheath with ebony plastic on the outside of each handle so that they can be held both with one hand. SURPRISE, there are 2 of these beauties. And a bargain!
Dec 19, 2011

they came rather quickly, look nice, the plaque is made out of rather cheaper wood.. the leather looks kind of glued on at the ends and the swords would need sharpening for actual use, but otherwise for a decorative piece its good. they are shorter than expected.. they fit into the sheath well but i still have not figured out how they combine for single handle wielding.. overall they are very nice decorative pieces and i will continue buying from true swords. i would recommend this as a gift as well
Aug 08, 2011

These swords are very good and feel great. The only thing that bugs me is the leather wraps around the handle because they keep coming undone. But they are still nice to show swords and I will be buying more from trueswords.
Jun 03, 2011

Good Quality product! What you see is exactly what you get! Needs a lil sharpening but that's the perfectionist in me.
Oct 12, 2010

Nice blades, 440 [I think they are] is a good steel for these. Any larger and a different metal type and alloy should be used, so good 'knives' as a product. Good wrap, actually impressed. Sheath is well made too. Plaque is a good design but mine has some lighter spots in the golden color. Would be great for knife-fighting single or duel wieldin'. Not in any sense a 'sword' nor scimitar, good thickness too...like a knife. I'll call them <br />"Fancy fightin' knives". Priced well, any higher, meh. Remember shipping...they turned $35 for me in Fl...
Jan 23, 2015

These twin swords look great stuck to a wall, but that's all they're for; to look at. They are a bit dull, short, and a bit cheap looking up close. They're fun to show off to friends who appreciate such collectibles but I do not highly recommend. I was also disappointed that the handle is half rounded, half flat; the back of the sword's handles are flat and makes it very uncomfortable to hold. Conclusion: Fun to get for twenty bucks, but do not highly recommend.
Jan 23, 2014

Just received mine today and I was disappointed the handle/grip was only one sided, not a full grip. Nice looking and will look good displayed but that is about it.,
Dec 04, 2011

The handle does combined into one, however, the blades don't lay flat against each other. There is a quarter of an inch between the blades when held together. A cool wall decoration though.
Jan 17, 2013

Ok, for the price not to bad, still very cheep looking, but with some new handles and good sharpening it will do the job I hope.
Dec 22, 2013

Seems like this knife was made to be DISPLAYED (at a distance), rather than actually used. The handle only has a full grip ON ONE SIDE (the "display" side)! The other side of the handle has no handle slab at all, making it difficult and uncomfortable to grip well. The hammered-look black "patterning" on the blade is actually PAINTED ON and looks like the pattern on a giraffe's hide up-close!(maybe that's why they renamed it "jungle flyer"). The faux leather handle wrap is actually a CHEAP SUEDE-FABRIC with a CLTH BACKING that is so poorly made it has threads unraveling at the edges (LOL). That brass decoration folded around the blade is, I'm told, thin aluminum but looks and feels like cheap brass-plated plastic. These knives do look great from across a room, but fall flat when you see them really up close and are even worse when you actually take one into your hand. I ordered a pair (from a DIFFERENT SELLER via Amazon) and was so disappointed I sent them back and bought the somewhat unfortunately named FLAMES OF HELL Sword/machete instead...it's a close approximation and a much better designed blade.
