How does the blade lock into the cane?
The blade of the Night Watchman Hook Sword Cane is designed to slide into and be held in place within the heavy duty aluminum shaft by a friction-based locking mechanism.
When I received my Night Watchman Hook Self-Defense Sword Cane (which I'm very happy with), I noticed when removing the steel blade, it was covered quite heavily with a heavy coating of oil (&/or🤔) to protect & ensure the blade remains razor sharp; so my question is this, should I leave the blade "as is" (for the obvious reasons stated above), or should I wipe it down, then regularly maintain it to ensure it remains sharp & in its perfect, pristine condition? If the later, what exactly is recommended to maintain the condition of said blade, that is, what exactly should I use & how often, etc.? Thanks, a very happy customer...
The manufacture stores the items with the oil so it does not rust while being stored. You can clean and maintain yourself now. Please email customer service at csweb@customerservice.com for instructions on maintaining the sword.
