Best Cane, for sure.

I have only seen great things with this cane. I own it, and I seriously recommend it. This cane is solid, and seems to be the finest quality. I trust this line and the manufacturer knows what they are doing!

Scorpion Sword Cane

I liked it for a sort time .The handle chipped .That I polished it smooth .Next I Stabbed a cardboard box .Could not pierce the box .Blade too thin . I then made a BIG mistake I tried to slice the box ; the handle shattered at the base into 3 pieces Showing a small screw .I glued it back together . Useless for cutting .I had my doubts about it as a cane before .Now I'm sorry I did not return it the day I got it.

scorpion cane

I got this cane cause I am a cripple and like the thought of having a little edge if I might need it I am short and this cane to me is a little short for me. I do like it and it is as cool as it gets . I sharpened the blade and it got very sharp . It also makes a killer club as a defense,

Scorpion sword cane

I bought this cane to help me walk better and to have a means of defending myself. The cane itself is a formidable weapon but here's a trick I learned. If someone confronts you, put the cane into the palm of your hand and start lightly tapping while at the same time, start unscrewing the sword. It only takes a few seconds to unscrew the sword and pull I out. IF YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME, SWING THE CLUB WILDLY LIKE A CLUB.

Poor construction

I received the cane on 8 Dec 2013 and had it resting against the wall and it rolled off, fell on to a carpeted floor and the acrylic handle broke off. I noticed just a very short screw that was holding it on. The screw is way too short for the weight of the handle. I super glued it back in place bit like anything broken it probably will not ever be as strong.

Nice for the price

I purchased this as a gift for a friend who uses canes. It is an attractive cane, and it seemed sturdy enough to help him maintain his balance. Access to the sword is slow requiring it be unscrewed from the shaft. So if yur looking for a handsome cane at a discount price, this one may work for you.

Nice cane, But.

I bought this for my dad as a Christmas gift, the cane is sturdy, the blade is a lower quality blade but it will defend you. The scorpion in the hand was not the best, I am from Arizona and we see scorpion in all kind of items from necklaces to paper weight and this one was about the worst one I ever seen. But for the price it is an OK walking cane.

Extremely good for the price, got it for my dad and he loves it so I'm happy not much wrong with it since a sword canes blade is supposed to be bendable anyway. Love this item

A "NICE" piece

I am a blade expert, and a blade collector. I purchaced this particular cane/sword for it's original intended purpose, its looks "not to defend myself against an attacker." though the scorpion could have been in better position, this is still a very "NICE" show piece. NUFF SAID!!!

I wish the blade was full length. Still, the sturdiness of the cane was a pleasant surprise.

It's really cool but the blade is extremely thin and fragile. I wasn't expecting battle ready but I was expecting something a little more, tough. Overall a good cane. Very stable and the handle is a good size.

Good presentation

The Scorpion sword does bring comments from strangers as far as astetics. however my acrylic ball broke at the hilt after falling only a few inches from a table onto carpet. The blade was partly sharp, but in a fair hurry could scare off an individual bothering you. I chose not to show the sword to anyone considering what it could do. I like the cane. Just don't like the acrylic single wood screw connector at the hilt holding all together. And after it broke I still want another one but will wait to see if BUDK still wants it's customers. I did buy the Gill Hibbet hook cane stainless quick release sword and await to pick it up as soon as the Post Office opens.

Nice sturdy affordable

The box was crushed by the mail. but the cane arrived in excellent shape. the blade has a slight sharp edge, and the acrylic handle and length is good. Overall the cane is a good carrying tool and an interesting conversation piece. I would recommend for first time users. Perhaps Scorpions could be positioned better in acrylic. It will do the job to help fend off an offender and cause one to rethink his possible commitment of crime towards you. it's not a quick draw sword but a timed deterant. For a sure draw down on an offender, you'll have to get one of Budk's finer push button swords.

Cool, but breaks easily!

I bought this because I am disabled and I had been looking for a form of protection. It is very neat, and the blade and cane/sheath is very sturdy. The blade is not sharp, but it is not designed for cutting, like a normal sword. Although impractical, it is made more for stabbing and poking. However, one would typically use a sword cane to scare somebody more than harm them. Unfortunatly, a few days after I bought it, I had it leaning against a wall and my dog simply bumbed it and it fell. This small fall to the ground broke the entire scorpion handle off. Rendering it prettymuch useless. I think I will invest in a tazer.

the handle of the cane is a lot flatter than i had thought, i had hoped the scorpion's stinger was up as if ready to strike but it was down to the side. this wouldn't be my first choice to defend myself but it's still pretty cool. if you're over 6'1 and/or have shorter arms this might be a lil short for you.

I can't stress enough how great this cane is for the money, once you put some foam at the bottom ( to eliminate the blade noise when walking from the sword). And put a sharp edge on this dual sided blade it is truly a great companion, the shaft is perfect weight for dual wielding with sword out. A++. The sword is tightly attached to handle (unlike most Chinese Cheapies). And is a perfect weight for me, with sword sheathed the large clear hardened head is more than enough to knock out your attacker without even wielding the sword, but if the situation calls for it once sharpened a very deadly weapon indeed.

Good for the pricd, but if you actually have to defend yourself, best used as a punch dagger (edges take forever to sharpen, though the tip is very good). And even then, i would recommend using the cane as your dominant weapon. While testing the blade on cardboard, the acrylic cracked and misaligned the tang. Fixed with rope, but i wouldnt trust it in a survival situation. Still a good buy though.

This is an absolutely excellent buy! The detail, style, and toughness of this cane is amazing and was worth every penny. The only draw back was that if your over 6 feet, it maybe alittle short for you, but it is still a great buy!
