"Purchased on sale for $209.99 as I was curious about Trueswords T10 Katanas. My impressions are good. The sword is Razor sharp out of the box. It cut cleanly through the trueswords shipping box, sword box, packing paper, and receipt in one swing. Cut through 2L bottles without effort, including the cap and top. The blade is also nicely polished with a visible hamon. The handle is tightly wrapped, rigid, and easy to grip. The only minor cosmetic blemish is mekugi (pegs) are inserted at an odd angle and stick out a little, but enough to notice during use."

Beautiful

"Definitely not disappointed! After unboxing, initial cleaning, and visial inspection, I took it outside for a few kata. It truly felt effortless. Slightly more blade heavy; easily fixed that by adding weight to the tsuka gashira (I do this to all my swords) because I prefer the center of balance closer to the tsuba (three fingers). I did a six cut tameshigiri on a tatami. Impressed overall with the sharpness, though I did need to spend a few minutes bringing it up to "beyond razor" sharpness. Afterwards I completely disassembled it for a full cleaning. All in all an easy task, well made. Conclusion: Quality, well made Beautiful;true, hamon. Not machined! Saya is solid, the natural finish is subtle and classy. There are differences in this and the one passed down to me for certain, but this is one that also can be proudly handed down. Highly recommend if you're getting into real swords."
