The Lord of the Rings Sting Sword of Frodo Baggins

I didn’t know whether to buy this version or The Hobbit version, but I ended up with this one and I believe that the elven engraving makes this sword superior to the other version. I was surprised at how small this sword looked compared to what I expected and I love it! Still, the overall feel of this sword isn’t very special to me since it’s so light, but it’s definitely a fitting weapon for a hobbit.

I bought this for my little brother for Christmas, and he wouldn’t stop quoting Frodo the entire day. Great design, not sharp, but an edge could be easily put on it, great decorative piece.

Very well crafted replica. I have had mine for a couple of years now. It looks beautiful, and feels genuine. It has a great balance to it, the wood feels great to the touch, and the blade it self is sharp enough to shave with (haven't tried, haha). I love the carvings, and the display plaque is very classy as well. My only genuine problems with it are two fold. One the paint on the handle isn't perfect, it sorta looks like a machine did it in certain places, and this could be good or bad depending on the person but there is a big engraving saying Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring and Made in Taiwan... That's right... According to True Swords Sting was made in Taiwan and not in the ancient Elvish Kingdom of Gondolin... But you can choose to believe what you want to believe.

Amazing piece!<br /><br />This thing is just PERFECT! The tip is sharper than any knife I've ever owned and the blade is just shy of razor sharp. This thing probably would take down a troll to Shelob the Great!!!<br /><br />If you are a LOTR fan, this is a must buy! Two thumbs up

Overall quality made item. However, the hilt makes the sword look cheap. Faux painted grain and silver vine design is painted on. I would gladly have paid more for a metal or pewter inlay of the vines on the hilt. Fairly priced for what you get. I bought the sheath as well and am quite happy with it.
