"Very nice sword cane for the price folks. It was packaged well and arrived with no issues. It looks as good as the photos and the descriptions in the other feedback are accurate. I cut mine to the proper length and added a few shims to prevent the loose fit and rattle where the handle fits in the sheath. That tightened it up just right. Then, after I cut it to length and before I put the cap back on I cut some foam packaging material and shoved it in the bottom of the sheath to prevent the blade from rattling. Now I have a nice functional sword cane that feels more solid without any rattle. It feels good and looks good. I'm happy with my purchase. I am glad I bought if from True Swords because they shipped it fast with care and followed up with me after the sale to make sure everything was satisfactory."

"The blade is very sharp and seems to be very good quality. The collar that releases the blade came off, it wasn’t attached very well. Some glue seems to have held it in place for now. The length is about one to two inches too long but still usable as a cane. Overall I like this sword cane as a protection and a device to walk with."

Good blade, bad sheath and handle

"I had bought this sword cane for aesthetic purposes and utilitarian purposes. As far as the aesthetics, it is a very handsome piece, especially because of the nice leather wrap. The blade I had chosen was the Damascus mainly because that was the one on sale at the time. Price-wise, it is very good. I had my doubts about buying one of the cheap quality $20-$40 sword canes that are everywhere on the Internet. You get what you pay for. Now the bad part. I agree with the first reviewer: the sheath is not as solidly built, you rattle when you walk, and the sheath just isn't very appealing with looks. I have had mine almost a month, I think, and with everyday use the scabbard has many dings and scrapes already. In the course of my daily use, the piece will inadvertently fall over or slide off of whatever solid thing I have leaned the piece on. The first time it fell over, the area below the handle and above the leather wrap developed a crack all the way around the circumference."

Can the brown wooden shaft be shortened? It's says it over 38.5" in over all length, I would need it around 34" in over all length.
