Garbage

Stay away from any and everything made by united cutlery. Their stuff is meant for wall hanging. The cheap handle came off the blade after 3 swings. Ridiculous. This should have been a free knife due to the quality. Spend the extra money and buy something of quality.

One Bad**s Bowie

D**n this is big. I received my knife today and I am totally blown away. It is not only sharp but it feels bigger in my hand than in the pick's.LOL. BudK "ROCKS'. The sheath if really nice. The compas is really good and it does have a nice sharpening stone for out in the field. I already have the knife attached to my bug out bag. You definately will not go wrong purchasing this knife. Thanks BudK!

Serpentine Bowie

This knife makes a nice companion for my Schrade Bolo. Nice quality. Excellent sheath. The compass is good quality and the military style I am familiar with. Knife was dull out of the box but it took a good edge. Well built. Get one!

awesome!!!!!!!

This bowie is freaking awesome! Package was just delivered, and I was f**king stunned! Like Crocodile Dundee says; "This is a knife!" And the sheath has been upgraded from the picture shown! Extremely Durable Sheath! Really Tough Nylon. Length of sheath is from my hip, down to my kneecap!!!! And the blade on this monster is massive. I strongly recommend this bowie!!!!!! 5 stars, all the way! Oo-rah....USMC

awesome!!!!!!!

Let me say this :o Omg I recently bought the TURTLEMAN bowie from another site and I thought it would be tough to beat. This is very close. This one is a little longer and the molle sheath is a little nicer but the handle just feels a little weird. I'm sure with some use my comfort level will grow.
plain and simple this is a monster of a blade and should probably be classified as a short sword. Great buy worth twice as much.

You don't realize how big 10 1/2 inches is until you hold this in your hands. This knife is huge, The Sheath that you get with it is actually not bad for what you would normally get at this price range. The compass is a generic compass and the sharpening stone maybe a bit to small for this knife, honestly though i haven't even used it because i have a knife sharpener.

All in all this is a great knife, the only minor complaint i have (and i mean extremely minor, i am just looking for atleast one critique) is the handle is thinner than i would like, and is more boxed then round at the turns, but honestly its not even an issue for me, it was just something i noticed when i first opened the box, but doesn't even bug me now that i have used the knife

Ok a few things
Pros- This bowie is enourmous, its clean, it comes sharp, sheath is fantastic, decent whetstone, compass is decent too.
Cons- god i cant think of anything thats wrong with the knife

The shipping however was, for the first time, very dissapointing. it took over a week for the package to arrive and i live in illinois. i was very dissapointed with the length and fed ex more than trueswords. thats why i gave this a 4/5
the knife is 5/5
shipping 1/5

(this is my brothers account) This was my first buy from trueswords. My brother had ordered some things from this site and they all came quickly in great condition so i thought i'd give it a try. (of course) I made sure to read the description and comments before buying the knife. I love knives more then swords but i like big bulky knives. I saw 15 inch's and i was in. The knife is beefy and massive, came very sharp, and the holster actually works (unlike most). The compass is okay but moves way to much even when placed down and the whet stone is good (for those who actually know how to use one) I personally am pretty bad with them but im getting better so i bought a sharpener. Sharpens easily, got it razor but whats funny is even at razor its hard for it to bite you. I learned that, my brother and I place milk jugs full of water on a fence. I cut the jug thinking it wasn't going to work. To my surprise I didn't only cut through the jug but it hadn't even moved a cm. The knife is heavy near wear the blade and hilt connect. The knife weighs maybe 4 pounds but unbelievably (and im a weak individual) my arm never gets tired swinging it and you don't feel the weight unless you swing it downward. It's very sturdy and can be used on heavy duty work. Knives like this roll in for 90 - 200 dollars but for a 35$ knife along with a good sheathe, whet stone, and an okay compass, you'd be a complete idiot not to buy this.

This is simply a thing of beauty. I knew that it was a massive blade but i didn't expect this much knife honestly. It was a VERY happy surprise to say the least. This is a must have for lovers of a bowie plain and simple. It came sharp but with the sharpening stone and a few minutes of my time its now like a razor. I literally ran it down my arm and watched the hairs fall off. The sheath is very good quality also. I just wish i knew what the velcro straps on the back could be used for. Overall this was an awesome buy. Ill be buying at least 2 more. Another one for myself and one for a friend as a late christmas present.

Good knife, looks decent, going to take it camping in a few weeks, will have more to say about it then. Needs sharped, BAD. With the sharpening though, along the curve watch out, it "bit" me. Compas is okay, just don't like it, it's too bulky. Stone is great, used it on other knifes all nice and sharp now. It isn't really ful tang, but it will do most jobs. Handle is a little rough, but it can work, I'm going to see about sanding down the finger spaceing, it can possibley break a knuckle or two if it doesn't hit an object right.

United Serpentine Bowie

This knife is a must have. The moment you hold the knife you become very aware of the balance and strength. Well built and does not bend. Thick 1/4" spine and great looks. This knife is no joke, it is meant for gutting and cutting. The knife came with an edge but, not sharp...-which is just fine by me. Easily able to sharpen with some effort. Very scary blade in the right hands. I have been a professional cook for over 12 years and have used many outstanding knives, weather they be carbon or stainless, or blended steels. You will not be disappointed with this knife. It's big and means business. The sheath is of good working quality and can always be reinforced by hand. This is an combat infantryman's knife. I will not be using it for tree trimming. The use for this knife is obvious once you sharpen it. I cannot say enough good things about this knife. The only flaw I could find was a small alignment issue with the guard. You wouldn't see it if you didn't look for it. It is minor and is of millimeter widt

Knife came razor sharp. Did some cutting with it and the blade doesn't even have a scratch. Sheath is sturdy, but I would have preferred an actual leg strap as opposed to the lanyard style one that it comes with. Compass is great and the whet stone is nice. Both have their own individual pockets. Great knife for a great price.

Only one compliant is that the leg strap took a little bit to figure out. Everything else is in great shape and definitely worth it! Best thing I've brought from Trueswords by far!
