I own this machete and its probably the best one I've ever used for everyday use. I initially tested its durability and edge against a freshly downed tree that was at least 4-5 inches in diameter with ease. Super thick steel and an easy grip also. FYI though, the picture you guys have of it in the sheath is totally wrong. The blade goes the other way. I believe its even in the instructions...

Though only a civilian , I am a bit of a knife and machete NUT. I have too many to list machetes, over the years I have tried many to find "the one" so far I would have to say that THIS IS IT!!!! (no I will not stop shopping, buying, and putting to test) I would recommend this to any Hunter, Hiker, Survivalist, handyman/woman. I honestly one strapped to my (bailout bag) It is light weight, comes to a sharp edge with minimal work, has a FANTASTIC working edge, is a strong/durable made metal. some machetes will bend around a tree where this one bites in to... well do its Job!! Everyone should have one of these.. Also a smaller version is available for beginners or Teens. (supervised) lol
