Serrated Blade Katana Samurai Anime Sword

A fascinating sword for any collector of anime swords, and one that would be especially appreciated by any Ninjutsu student due to the nearly straight blade matched with the light-duty Shikoro saw-blade like feature that could be used as a means of aiding escape, setting traps & snares or building a quick shelter for wilderness survival. It's extremely light weight as far as most Katana go, and it may need some additional sharpening with a rod-style sharpener if you are looking for a true to form serrated blade as seen on smaller knife varieties, but as a 'saw blade' it's fine just the way it is, no sharpening required.

Absolutely love the sword, always have been a fan of rurouni kenshin. The serrations are pretty sharp and the sword has met all my expectations.

LOVE The Leather Wrap On This Thing, Every Time I Show This To Someone New, Theyre AMAZED At It, I Believe It IS Full Tang, Or At Least 2/3rds Tang, Not Some Cheap Mall Sword, Its Not Particularly Sharp, The Grinds Of The Edge Dont Meet, But The Serrations Make It To Where They Dont Have To, The Teeth On It Alone Are Sharp Enough To Tear Through WHATEVER You Put On Front Of It.

I bought this as a present for my boyfriend's birthday, because he loves to collect swords. I've always had a knack for buying something out of the ordinary for him, and this serrated katana definitely surprised him! The sword arrived in great condition and handles really well!

Very wicked looking.<br />The only real thing it needs is to be sharpened.<br />The serrations are shaped like waves, extending away from the handle, since i am not a "serration expert" and i do not know the technical terms for it. ._.ll<br />The blade has a classic katana curve to it.

It is a very good sword and the way the blade is made is just pure awesome so if you like unique swords that are well made you'll like this one.

I got this sword for Christmas and its one of the best swords in my collection. Its fully functional and comes well greased. The leather wrapping is also outstandingly awesome. Mine came relatively sharp and cut the box it came in to shreds. This sword will do some damage on someone! Overall a 5/5 in my book

Amazing blade, so very depenable. A blade you never have to sharpen. Just be careful with alot of use the Guard does get quite shakey; other than that, it is a sword worth buying more than the price it is being sold for.

For the most part, this is a great buy for a unique sword. If you are a fan of Makoto Shishio like I am, then this is the one for you. You get what you pay for but this is a nice sword overall. Definitely worth the $25.00, but honestly wouldn't pay much more

For starters, this is a good solidly constructed blade. There isn't any wobble or looseness in the construction of it, and the serrations are good. but there are a few things I should point out. You get what you pay for, as this is only a display blade. The steel it's made from is comparably soft, as it bends easily, even from stabbing or trying to cut the shipping box it came in. On a separate note, the scabbard comes full of wax, so if you're not careful in drawing it, you'll always have wax on the blade which is a real bother. Other than that, there isn't anything really wrong. The hand wraps are secure and the emblems inside them aren't any kind of bother.

Really like the weapon, it is only point sharp which is a disappointment, but one i can easily get over.

Great sword. My only real problem with it is the machine marks on it. The only other thing is that the serrated side is wrong. other then that i recommend this sword.

Very lightweight sword. Easy to clean and never goes dull.

Leather isn't the best, but it beats a nylon cord. This sword is very light, easy on the arms mid-swing for certain. The serrated blade is awesome. Imagine a 3 foot long steak knife and thats pretty much what it is. Good buy for the money, but mine will need a good polish to look as nice as the picture.

First off, The blade IS NOT full tang, Repeat NOT FULL TANG. 2nd, Its NOT as sharp as it appears to be in this image, The serrations are somewhat flat, They will cut you however and cause serious damage, But i think thats more due the the constant serration. 3, The sword does feel a "Bit" flimsy and it "seems" to wobble, but doesnt, Just gives off that impression. The absolute best thing about this blade though, Is HOW it feels, The skinny handly mixed with the faux leather, And the shape just feels AMAZING, And mixed with the glossy plain skinny scabbard makes it feel just amazing, The blade itself may not be that great other then lookig cool, But the Tsuka feels wonderful, The Tsuka alone is worth it.

i got this sword yesterday i don't like the fact that the serration is on the opposite side ...the leather is ok the saya is plastic inside and is tight which on my opinion is better...not impressed but not really that bad...

Its hard to tell which way the serations are in the picture, but in order for the blade to function as designed the serrations would have to be reversed. otherwise it looks pretty cool.
