Frankly, for the price I didn't expect a whole lot out of this knife, but I have always wanted to add a trench knife to my collection. I saw this on one of BudK's BOGO sales, so I went for it. It's not the heaviest blade in the world but considering it's intended use, I'd say it is very adequate. This a double-edged trench knife and mine came out of the box shaving sharp on both edges - I tried it to see. Altogether, very happy with my knife and I would recommend it. Looks pretty bad-ass too! I haven't checked the second one yet as I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it or give it as a Christmas gift. I liked the first one so much, I'm kind of leaning toward keeping it!

Looks good

The only trench knife I've seen with good proportions between the blade and handle, most have a small blade and a huge handle. Finger holes are small and tapered toward the handle, not too comfortable. Too bad about the flimsy tang, makes it a decorator. If they'd make a full tang I'd give it -much- better rating. Too bad as it -looks- great.

Sturdy knife

Knife arrived and was semi-sharpe, which I easily resolved. Was not impressed with the sheath, so I made one for it using some thick leather I had from a previous project. I disassembled the handle and there was no rust. Nice knife/jaw breaker for the price.

Very sturdy, great knife

Knife came sharp out of the box and is obviously built to last. The sheath could be better, but overall this knife is great quality and price wise.

Buy two.

Thanks! I punched a brick with it and also the glass breaker. Put dimples in the brick but didn't break it in half, a 2" red brick. Touched up with a black sharpie. Blade tip seams solid! Buy two! Even if you do break, you'll be happy.

Needs bigger finger holes

This knife is pretty solid and perfect for self defense. The finger holes need to be just a little bigger for my hand though.

This is one of the two trench knives I bought for Christmas. They are really cool and awesome decorative pieces and/ or presents for a fellow knife enthusiast. Sturdy, sharp, and well built. Definitely not a toy. My hat goes off to those World War I soldiers who had to face or use this beast. It is intimidating.

1918 trench knife

Blade on mine was not sharp at all. This can be fixed though. Sheath is very cheap. The knife overall is nice. It is handle heavy, but that is expected with the knuckles. I took the skull crusher spike off and used Loctite on it to make sure it doesn't come apart. In doing this I found that the blade is tack welded to a small diameter bolt that goes through the handle to the spike. Not sure how long this will last if you really use and abuse the knife. I would suggest this knife to anyone that is looking for a good conversation piece. Impressed overall for the money!

trench knife

this is a good knife. it has a nice blade and I love the skull crusher on the bottom. I was outside crushing soda and fruit all day long. the sheath is bad and the snap is on the wrong side. also before use tighten up the blade by tightening the skull crusher so it doesn't get lose when using it. but as long as it stays in tact its good to me.

This knife is huge. The video is right the handle is rock solid. This probably wasn't the smartest idea but, I punched a rock with this thing the handle didn't even. Lose any paint. Although my hand didn't seem so great after that this knife is virtually indestructible.
